Service terms

Use of the hosted CodeGate service at codegate.dev is subject to two documents, both authoritative and both hosted on the main app:

• User Agreement, the contract between you and CodeGate. Effective 5 July 2026.
• Privacy Policy, what data we collect and what we do with it. Effective 5 July 2026.

These docs (docs.codegate.dev) intentionally do not duplicate that content, so there is a single source of truth.

Short version

• Prepaid billing. You add credit, we debit it. Credits do not expire.
• Zero data retention. We do not store prompts, responses, or your client IP.
• We do not train on your data.
• Total liability is capped at the greater of what you paid us in the last six months, or fifty US dollars.
• Refunds are case by case. Email us and we evaluate.
• US-based service, US governing law.

For anything binding, read the User Agreement and the Privacy Policy directly.

Upstream software

The gateway is built on new-api, maintained by QuantumNous. new-api itself is derived from One API by JustSong. Both are licensed under the Apache License 2.0.

Third-party models

Requests are served by third-party model providers (Anthropic and OpenAI today). Your use of the responses is subject to those providers' terms as well, to the extent they apply. CodeGate does not modify request or response bodies before forwarding.
